    Add (-1) on both sides
    S-1=-1+1-1+1-1+1-.......

         Multiply both sides by (-1)
    -1(S-1)=-1(-1+1-1+1-1+......)
    => -S+1=1-1+1-1+1-1+.......
    => -S+1= S   ( from_1 )
    => S+S= 1
    => 2S=1
    => S=1/2
